Seeking advice -- first dent removal attempt

Hello Team. I have a minor dent in the bumper of my '69 912. It a shallow dent right in the center of the bumper. My guess is the dent is 1/2 - 3/4" deep and ~ 4" wide. It's hardly noticeable actually, but if you look at it from the top, you can see sort of a flat area instead of the side-to-side curvature of the bumper.

What's the best method to remove the dent and restore the proper shape of the bumper? Slide hammer, hammer and dolly, other? Please bear in mind this is my first attempt. My main goals is to first do no harm, as they say. Any advice is appreciated very much.

Are you trying to do it without wanting to repainted? If so take it to a paintless dent repair guy, they can do some amazing things if the paints intact

I hadn't considered PDR just because of the thickness of the metal. Can they work out dents in heavy gauge steel? Thanks.

PDR repair A+

Just bought our 16yo daughter her 1st car and it had a nice whopper in the fender and I didn't want to paint the fender since factory paint is only factory paint once!

$200 and 90 minutes later the dent was gone, I couldn't see where the damage was, the guy did a helluva job and saved me time and money too.
