old paint
Hi all,I've got old alkyd enamel paint on my 911.Does anyone know if it safe to seal this and paint over with a urethane paint.the enamel is hard with good adhesion and no cracks or flaking .some pieces have been stripped to bare metal so just wondering.Thanks T.C. p.s. old paint is 25 yrs.old

it's more then ok to paint and prime over as long as they used a hardener when it was painted before .
to test wipe it with a rag soaked in thinner if it doesn't melt the old paint your good to go . |
