Thanks,
Hit a few local specialty interior shops and have had no luck. I'll also expand my search parameters because my first few try's have been unsuccessful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

we used to go nuts at times looking for the proper color leather and vinyl for our restorations .
at time we would find the color we needed and then go back for more to find they didn't have any more or get it anymore . |

I would try Auto's Intrenational, Escondido CA. They should have the leather and can recover if you choose. Rob

I found a pretty close match at Tandy Leather. I believe they are a chain with locations all over. The parcel shelf is new leather, everything else original. Hard to get a good pic.

Ok, now that is just too funny. I too stopped by today at the local Tandy leather shop. I was in the Sacramento area and decided to look them up. Just by walking in that place make you want to make something.. I like it!! Will be looking through the catalog to find a good Brown to match our interior. I even signed up to get the discount rates. Ha that’s great. I actually got a recommendation from someone on here. The place is great. Here is a pic of the tag on the back of the leather, maybe it will help you. I’m pleased with the match and the wrinkles are similar.
Let us know how the trim pieces come out. I want to do mine next. ![]()

So after I got your pic of the leather you used, I called our local Tandy leather store. I was promptly told that that color and type are discontinued but they would be willing to search the database for any still out there. After a few minutes of searching, I am told a store in Union City CA, Texas and Massachusetts might have what I’m looking for. I had planned on attending the EASY meet-up in Emeryville so I figured once that was done, I’d drive down to Union City and pick it up. I call the Union City Tandy store and confirmed the stock number on “your” tag picture is there and available. They said yes and would set it aside for me. Easy-peezy............right? Fast forward to the next day and when we are ready to leave EASY, I pull out the ol iPhone and look up the directions by accessing my contacts and the address I imputed the night before. I start entering the Tandy name via my contacts and it automatically calculated the fastest route....... and off we go. After being distracted by the Bay Bridge traffic and back-up(worse than normal) that we were in the middle of and the simple fact that I didn’t realize I was going in the completely wrong direction ![]() ![]() Whaaaaat, wait? San Bruno?!?!?!? I’m such a dumb-a$$...... Here comes the funny twist. The Union City store had the wrong skew number on their stock and the color of what they had was caramel, not chocolate. The San Bruno store had their stock miss-marked as well, and the three sections of 9202-52 Chocolate brown were listed as a different number altogether. So I scored the actual color and sizes I needed at the wrong store that I was mislead to by a mapping system that auto-loaded the wrong address. Simply because I assumed it loaded the store listed in my phones contacts. I should have bought a lottery ticked after those odds played out. Who woulda thunk... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Great story, glad it worked out. What do you think of the color match? I think its close, missing some of the purple hue. I'd love to replace all the existing brown trim with this leather but worried about how it will wear. Keep us updated on your project.

Leather door cap recover options
Hahaha, thanks!
I honestly think it will be the closest I will find working with the original interior. Unless I was going a full R & R to get a complete match, this should be fine. When I get home I’ll post some pics of the darker interior with the new leather next to it. The added bonus is that I had new leather put on the seats so they too will match the newer, darker color. ![]() Was able to score two big pieces ![]() Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
