930 color to change or to keep original...?

As I prepare to winter project include new K27 turbo, RarlyL8 muffler, and elephant racing suspension mod, I start to think to restore paint means repaint my 930 fully.
And now it question to keep my black original color, or go to black metallic or finally change to other color.
I was thinking about grey meteor metallic, gulf blue ( probably it was only one gulf blue 930 paint in factory) or red. So difficult. With my classic 911S answer was easy original paint but with 930 ...?

In some Porsche sewing circles a color change is considered sacrilegious but once you paint the car it's not original anyway. I have a very nice 67S matching # car in for paint now and just ordered a few sample color panels some 67 period correct a few are 356 colors. I might change from original light ivory or might not. Paint it the color you want and enjoy.

Bah, your car. Change it if you want. Unless it's a super-pristine garage-queen type car or a relatively new one (mid 90s or newer) all the discussion about "values" is largely moot anyway. Older 911s (including 930s) command pretty well-known price ranges with a teeny bit of variation one way or the other for exceptional situations (accident history, major upgrades/conversions, restorations, etc.). But for the most part, people know what these cars are supposed to cost and pay appropriately. You're not going to bump the value hugely one way or the other with a color change unless it's a concours car or something along those lines.

I'm changing the color on my 944. At the end of the day, a nice non-original paint job is still 100X better han a lousy, deteriorated original one, and I'll be happier driving the car with nice paint.
