Messko Tire Gauge ID help please!
Hello good folks from the 356 Forum. This is GWP911T from the 911 forum and I believe I have a tire gauge that belongs in your tool kit. I am asking for help in identifying it and coming up with a reasonable selling price. Here's the info:
- Has the 10,20,30,40,50 "Lbs per sq. inch" in black - Does not appear to work but not sure how hard it is to repair a tire guage - Original plastic bezel is there; just a little yellowed - Has the two piece leather case: Has the PRIM snap and you can just make out the silver logo on the case. Includes the original foil stamp on the red string! - Maybe 1957-59?? (I looked at Eric's 356 tool kit page) - Selling price?? (Don't want to give it away or ask an insane price--this is funding my restoration. I prefer to sell to a fellow pelican) Thanks in advance and sorry for the upside down pic ![]() |

I don't believe this is correct for any 356. They were all in bar. Early 912/911 had some that had both scales.

Messko Gauge for 911T
The correct gauge for 1964/65 356 C/SC, 911/912 cars from 1964-1968 SWB is the maroon twin scale {Kg/Lbs) gauge, with the gray plastic pouch stamped Messko on the front flap and Made in W Germany on the upper back. Some pouches, were not stamped and some had just the front stamp. Hope that helps. BTW LWB cars from 1969-1973.5 did not have a Messko tire gauge in the tool kit.
