915 transmission and Engine rebuild
Hello i have a 1960 volkswagen bus with what i believe to be a 1975 2.7 911 engine in it. I was looking to buy a 915 transmission and clutch to put into my bus. Right now there is a 198? vanagon automatic transmission and i want to make it standard. I have been told that the 915 transmission will fit fine. So my question is does anyone know where i can get a new or rebuilt tranny and clutch for a good price.
Second question is i will be moving to southern california pretty soon here and was looking for a good shop that wont rip you off in maintaince and part fees. All together not shady. IF you know of one please do tell. Thank you for your time Andrew |

Recommend you post on the 911 thread as this is a 911 engine and tranny combo. There are a couple VW experts that post regularly there.
