please help novice 356er

I have rebuilt many 911 engines and have no fear of helping my dad with his 356 sc engine. I looking for help with these pistons and cylinders. Can anybody tell me what coating the scs have on the cylinders is it chrome, or nikisl???

The cylinders are all aluminum not with steel inserts.. here are some pics

Forgot to mention that the pistons shown are not factory issue.

I think the pistons are MCs. the cylinders look like stock 912 birals. the new one available in the last say 4 years have been nicasil. but the original sc were ferral(metal spray) vice Nicasil(plated) process. that process was developed by nsu for the wankel. Porsche then used Nicasil for the 917. hard chrome was used earlier for the 906 non 2ltr carreras and early supers. cheers
