Tracking 356 Vin #

Anyone know how I can track down owners/history....of 356 using Vin, I really want to see the last time it was insured. It seems to have been a life long project of the past owners to restore & just gets passed on for some reason.

I don't think the states go back that far in their data bases. I tried it in California with my 912 and had no luck.

What if car was reg'ed in the last 10-15yrs...? still no record you think, I'm not going to call every DMV branch, I thought there might be a main call center.

Check the Registrys database - there is a copy available at www.356a.com

I tried it but nothing came up as when it was last reg'ed...?

The registry only works if people have used it to register their cars.

You can try a Porsche dealership. They track every time a car comes in.

The only thing with the dealer is it hasn't been to any in 15-20yrs. it's half way restored. I just thought there might be # to call at the DMV somewhere..???
