85 hunting at idle- tech help

Hi, Friend of mine has an 85 carrera. it seems to randomly hunt at idle... Any tech tips? fix's, places to look, much appreciated. Maybe a wiring thing?

Thanks

You may want to repost this in the 911 tech forum. Assuming the car is in good tune, i.e. spark plug wires, dist cap, rotor, plugs, etc., I would start looking at the oxygen sensor or a vacuum leak. Both of those will cause hunting at idle. Does it run well when not idling?

Yeah car runs great when not idleing.

Man what a dope i am , I swear I put that in the 911 forums. I was wondering why I had not had any replies.
