Anybody have the electrical schematic for an A car? How different is the wiring from the B?

Well to answer my own question, it seems that if they are not the same, the A and B are very similar. The trick is, you have to count the fuses from right to left. In the B schematic provided by our host it appears that the fuses are ordered from left to right.
In troubleshooting my electrical problems, it seems that most problems occur with the contacts in the fuse area. What I did was pull some of the wires from the fuse terminals, strip them and replace them afer abrading and cleaning the terminals. It seems that where there were missing fuses, some hardened sediment had settled in making proper grounding impossible. I used a sharp instrument to clean those areas out ( the indented area where the fuses are seated). After a day of tracing wires, splicing in new wire, cleaning contacts, replacing bulbs, and a new brake light switch (Volkswagen), amazingly I have my rear turn signals working, brake lights, tail lights and right front headlight fully functional. |
