Matching Numbers ?
 

Could someone please tell me how to determine if numbers match on my 356? I am not familiar with the procedure. Thanks, Pete

Go to Marco Marinello`s website at www.elevenparts.com. Select the button
that says "Porsche Karosserie" put your chassis number in the blank. They will look up the original engine number for the
chassis and will email you the result. Usually takes about 24 hours.

Engine and trans have numbers that are tied to the chassis/vin number. Also, the deck latch, inside door panel, etc. and other areas are stamped/marked with the last 2 or 3 digits of the chassis/vin number.
