356 Exhaust Valve Recession?

Lately I've been finding the exhaust valve clearance tight when I adjust the valves. The car is only driven about two thousand miles a year. I've been checking the valves about evry 1K.

Could it be that the valve seats are giving up on me?

Any comments are welcome,

Thanks,

Most likely the guides are going south which allows the valve to slip off center in the seat. Just did a pair like that.
Examine the valve springs for exhaust or crud build up and if there is that's your answer.
