Been away awhile and forgot what I know or need to know.
Hey fellas,
I've been tweaking on my new '06 WRX and half left my poor ole Porsche sit all alone in the garage driving it only a once or twice a month to keep things lubricated. The last thing I had done to the car was get the mixture set. The wrench showed me a wiring diagram of my car and he had all the lines to the O2 sensor highlighted. He told me that the O2 computer part in the motronic box was not working. I guess he couldn't get a signal from it. My car does have a Steve Wong chip, no cat and does tend to smell very rich under acceleration and just sitting and idling. Is this normal? Does the Steve Wong Chip stop the motronic from using the O2? I've been away from working on my car and I feel like I've forgotten all I've learned! My question it how can you test if what he says is wrong truly is. I did put on a new O2 before I had the car tuned. The car is stock other than the Steve Wong chip and Fabspeed exhaust (both put on by previous owner). BTW, here's a pick of my ride - it's a stage 2 with about 280 hp/340 tq. ![]()

AWESOME...a 356 powered WRX! Now *THAT'S* thinking outside the box! That should give the guy fitting the Subby engine in his 911 something to think about! Just bustin' your chops!
![]() Love the WRX!
