Windows jumping tracks

Both windows on my 65 SC coupe jump their tracks when I try to raise them from a fully down position. When I start cranking the window up it shifts inward and comes out of the forward channel. I can operate the windows if I push out on the window while I crank it up, but its difficult to brief passengers on this procedure, so I'd like to get them to work normally.

I replaced the channels on the passenger side with no effect. Does anyone have any experience with this problem or advice on how to correct it.

The tracks that trap the door window glass are held in place at the bottom of the track by a piece of angle iron attached to the tracks, then to the bottom of the door, secured with 10mm bolts. The door bottom is slotted to allow adjustment of the track to pinch the window. It’s possible this bolt got loose or simply needs to be loosened and the track moved into the glass.
It’s also possible the angle iron got loose from the track and needs to be re-set.
Good luck in resolving the issue.
