1965 356 cuts out when warm

Need a little help! A friend of mine has a 1965 356C with the standard engine and carbs. The car starts and drives fine for the first 1/2 or so then loses power and will hardly run. Cool it off and all is fine for about 1/2 hour and then the same. I just need ideas as to were to start and look. This is a far cry from my
911's! Thanks, Jeff

Fuel related: - Possible fuel starvation due to clogged filter or rust accumulating on the screen in the tank.
Electrical related: -Possibly the coil overheating and providing a weak spark.
I'm betting on the coil....

X2 on gas tank. Our '62 T6 tank rusted where it passes through side of chassis. Was a bear to find. Tank looked fine until I started to remove it.

Fuel pump related, it runs after it cools down. If it were dirt or rust in the tank or filter it would not get better if it cools down.
