Why didn't it sell??
The following 356 was on eBay. It didn't get one bid. Why?
Was it the rusty jack point, suggesting more serious tub problems? Not one bid. Strange. Paul

I would presume no one bid because the seller's starting price point was $25,000.00. No one apparently thought the car was worth that much.

Regardless of what the auction houses say.....the price of vintage autos have declined much like everything else has. I personally believe the starting price is to high for this market, not that it's not a nice car, but it's a coupe, it has issues, some body rust.... and to be honest needs a bit of cleaning up, inside and out. Like it or not this economy has changed the market as we knew it for the foreseeable future.....for most the disposable income has dried up, which is your market.....sorry.....

Went to the AC auction on 2/28 and watched car after car go no sale. The ones that did sell, went for about 30% of what they would have sold for 2 years ago. The guys buying got great deals! Cash rules as with all things material. I guess the folks that had to sell got to pay off some bills. It was tough and almost uncomfortable to watch.

The days are numbered for cars like this in B- / C+ condition. This car will probably fetch low teens these days when it finally sells.
