Restoring my 60' t-5 coupe..a couple questions
i am restoring my 1960 t-5 coupe and cant get the base of the horn button off to remove the steering wheel,its sort of cracked and i dont want to break it somaybe i'm doing something wrong.also i am installing one piece windows in the doors(my vent windows are rusty and dont fit so well)and i was wondering if i could just use
356-A felt channels etc. since they didnthave vents.one more thing my car has an original kill switch up under the dash,did they all have these...? |
Hi there. Thanks for answering my question in the previous message. The horn button on my '60 T-5 coupe comes off by twisting it. I can't remember which way right now, but I know that it's documented in our tech article:

I had the same problem with the horn button/base on my '62 T6 Coupe. It DOES twist off. Just be careful. once off you'll probably discover that the rubber cuff under the button is shot. Most I've seen are dry and brittle.
