Gearbox Idenification help needed
Hello All
the chief engineer in work has a Sauter formula junior car that has porsche gearbox and brakes, I am trying to work out what gearbox it has but have done a few searchs on the net and cant fine the code listed, can anyone help? the number's on it are 741.301.301.03 , I amsume these are the casting numbers on the case. 86 741/0 and 39605 these are stamped on to the case The reason I ask is that we have tested and devolped some new gears for his race car, New quick-shift dog-ring selector hub sets (Porsche type synchros). That are Direct replacement for synchro hubs. And am wondering if they will fit in other porsche 4 speed gearbox's here's a pic of the newly devopled gears http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...DSCF0023-4.jpg Many thanks Gary |
The 741 box is the last version of the 356 gearboxes. Post this over on the 356 Registry and you may generate some interest.
