Barn Car

Hello- I am new to this forum. Mostly I post on the 911 forums. Anyway, went to pick up my car at the mechanic's today, and in the back room of the barn/shop is a 356. He said it is a super 90. Looks neat! Here are some photos. Regards.

Barn Car

Hello- As I understand it-the car is there to have an engine rebuild. Its not for sale. The owner lives in Spain and comes here in the summer. I will keep in touch with the mechanic, and tell him of the interest. If the car comes up for sale, I will post it here and try to help a Pelican to buy it. Regards

Thanks for the update! Thanks also for posting this up. Please let us know what else you find out about it as time goes on. We'd be interested to hear about the progress as well if the current owner puts it back on the road, or restores it.

The car looks like it's "aching" to be restored! I'd love to get into such a predicament!

i think that is old technology that the barn car grew out of a passion for classic automobiles. creating a home for treasures of yesteryear has grown into an opportunity to appreciate and preserve the past while enjoying the walk down nostalgia lane.

Jeeze if I were the owner I'd be furious that it was being stored like that....

Barn Car

You California guys just don't get it- the most valuable thing in the photos isn't the car- its the insulation! It gets cold up here in the winter! I am sure that any day now it will occur to the guys at the shop that it would be a good idea to take the insulation and plywood off the car and put them on the walls.
Anyway- I did speak to the mechanic/ shop owner about all the interest in the car. His response was pretty flat- by that I think he is saying that the owner of the car has no interest in selling, and that he or she is well aware of the value of the car. But I intend to be a customer at this place for the forseeable future-so I will keep an eye on things.Regards!
