1957 MY to 1958 MY type 616/1's
On 356 engine decode website...
Why is the last 1957 MY , 1600 normal , type 616/1 motor listed at 66999. And the first 1958 MY , 1600 normal , type 616/1 motor listed at 68217. What about the 1218 units/motors/ motor numbers in between ? For the next MY change it seems normal . The last 1958 MY type 616/1 is listed cas 70819. The first 1959 MY type 616/1 is the very next unit ....No. 70820 Why is 1957 MY to 1958 MY so freeky ? thx in advance for any clarification. Last edited by RatBox; 05-20-2011 at 12:13 PM.. |

maybe they were used elsewhere
I know that in the AirForce (Australian) we had powercarts that had industrial 356 engines in them, the guys used to "borrow" the power carts and bring it back with another engine
