Help Identifying a Porsche Key

OK, this is a bit odd but I'm trying to determine the type of Porsche my Grandfather had. He passed away more than 25 years ago, my Grandmother is loosing her memory and my mother was very young when they had the car. My Grandfather bought the car in Germany while they were stationed there during the war and it was sometime between '56 - '58. I don't know my Porsche history well enough but as far as I know, this is the 356 time period. Anyway, I still have the key to the car (even though, unfortunately, the car was sold long ago) and I'm attaching a picture of it if it helps. Oh, I do know it was a coupe, not a cab/speedster. Any guesses? Thanks!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1333670334.jpg

Try printing out sample pictures of a coupe, cab and speedster in large format/hardcopy and show it to Granny...might help her remember and if you see her with a big smile/grin...you have your answer...I hope that helps. Good luck! :)

I believe that the Bosch keys were used to the end of 57. I believe that this is 58 or later.

Thanks for the responses guys! My mom remembers it being a coupe (and, to quote, with "tiny backseats I would always get carsick in"). It was actually having this key as a kid that eventually led to me buying my Boxster S last summer (wish it could be a 356 instead but that's a tad out of my reach for now), and now I'm trying to dig up more information on what exactly my grandfather drove. Anyway, thanks again for the help.
