legitimate company?
Hi folks, I haven't posted for ages as I'm out of the Porsche loop for now. However I moved from the UK to France and I have a French friend in my village here who is making a great job of restoring a 356. To complete the project he needs a 'donor car' for some parts. He is thinking of buying a car from a company in the U.S.A. based in Long Island called 'Gullwing Motor Cars'.
Their address is 24-30 46th Street, Astoria, NY 11103 USA . Before he buys he wants to be sure that they are a good, legitimate company to do business with, their website is We Buy all Classic Cars and the car he is interested in buying is here 1959 Used Porsche 356A Coupe at Gullwing Motor Cars Inc. Serving Astoria, NY, IID 7344960 I don't know enough about buying old Porsche but he has negotiated a price that he is happy to pay, does anyone know anything about this company? Anything thoughts are appreciated, thanks in advance. |

google 'Peter Kumar', then make your decision. If he is happy with the price, then why bother? He's a dealer, this car was listed on the Samba a couple of weeks ago; out of California.
Good luck with the project Last edited by Etarga; 04-06-2012 at 11:31 AM.. |

What parts do you need? The Factory is now offering some body panels, etc. as part of their "classics" program...
