356 fuel injection

I am trying to find information on what to use as intake manifolds for a project i have making the 356 engine fuel injected. I cannot seem to find anyone with either a working intake manifold with injectors or how to make them myself. Does anyone have any idea where to look or how to do?

Well, the usual approach is to weld, drill, and tap a bung on the back of the manifold so that the injector shoots at the intake valve.

But that is the easy part; the trick is appropriate throttle plates/mass sensors/electronic controls/fuel pressure requirements for the system.

The Type IV is one place to start, but the controls are dated. I understand late Brazilian Beetles were injected fairly recently, but they are not tuned to run in the American "environment".

Its not impossible, but bring bags of money.

i have seen jim liberty's work on his EFI 356:

give jim a call

from what i have seen, putting the kit in is one thing, but getting it tuned is another - there are not enough kits in use to put together enough data for a pre-tuned chip - this is where the time will be spent - hope you can figure it out - if i had the time and money, i would add an EFI system to my 356!
