How to disassemble brake pedal part ?

Before I break something.
How do you disassemble the aluminum part of the rod that pushes the cylinder in the master cylinder ?
It has a recess for a wrench and a hole, is this a threaded part ?

Thanks

The aluminum ring is pinned to the rod. It is really not meant to be taken apart. Rod should unscrew from ring fitting. Notch in aluminum ring is where brake boot fits and locks in. If you are restoring, unthread rod from ring fitting and glass bead. Then put it in a lathe and polish it.

Matt,
Thanks for your answer. Yes, I am restoring this part, it is rusted from the aluminum ring to the tip.
I was planning on electroplating it, but do not know if the aluminum part can be submerged in the plating mixture. My best guess was to detach the aluminum ring and send the rod to the plater.
Is it possible to take out the pin ?

Assuming the corrosion is not too bad, use a roll pin punch to drive out pin and try to press off alum ring.

Matt,
Thanks for your answer.
I just cleaned and polished the part. It turned out ok. I will not electroplate it. There is only a bit of pitting. I think it is ok. After almost 50 years, that is not bad.
