What is plated or Painted on a SC Engine?

Hi I am rebuilding a 64 SC engine back to original.
What is painted and what is plated originally on these engines?
What type of plating is it ie Zinc,Cadmium or ?
Some photos would be great.

Anything with threads and all straps are white cad plated. All sheetmetal is painted.

I do not know if this engine is very original, but you can see what is painted and what is plated.
