356 A B C Re-Hose of Eng Crossover Pipe
:)
I am very experienced in making 911 fuel hoses & lines, as they run at high fuel pressures and any weakness shows up immediately. Today I had a request for a Re-Hose of the Engine Crossover Fuel Pipe for a 65 356C model. The original had been remade about 5 years back with the braided cloth hose when a full restoration was done. However, even tho it runs at a very low 3 psi of pressure, this past work showed signs of weeping, and thus this request. Forgot to take a "before" photo but here are a few of the "after"........ http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1411667227.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1411667242.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1411667259.jpg Since these models have become so valuable, originality has been superceded by safety by the use of E-85 rated hose that replaces the braided cloth hose of old. With the fuels of today, even with products like Stabil, sitting idle for so long has its drawbacks. For more information, please email me. Len at Autosportengineering dot com :) |
