Advice on Porsche 911 SC purchase

Hello Pelican Parts community,

After driving a family friend's 911 SC at the beginning of summer, that drive has been lingering in my head for the entire summer. I'm have a Nissan GTR where there is a large amount of technology, dual clutch, and just fast, but the 911 SC was so visceral and offered so much feeling and driving emotion when I drove it.

So I've made the decision to buy a air cooled Porsche. I originally wanted a 964, but seemed to realize my budget of $40,000 wouldn't get me much in terms of a 964. I could easily get a "project 964", but I rather not deal with that at this point in my life. I want a car that is in excellent condition for the age so I started looking at 930's. Originally I wanted a turbo, but again out of budget. So with that I've been looking for 911 SC and 911 Carrera with the 3.2, but those are pricey also.

Can someone give me advice on the driving feelings of both? And what I should look for/ask for? A lot of the cars I'm looking at are way out of state so I want to know what to ask for and what to look for. These are two 911 Sc i'm currently looking at if you guys want to let me know your thoughts and opinions.

I really dig the virtual drive of that SC. Really makes me feel like I'm there. I actually turned my Logitech wheel that's set-up for iRacing right now. No one saw me do it....
