John Bond Jr.'s orange Abarth Carrera GT/L

Many years ago I worked for Bond Publishing, which published Road ^ Track and I heard the son of the founders, John Bond Jr., owned some wild Porsche. Only just now reading this forum did I find out it was possibly 1010. I got the idea it was later sold to
Denver man, Dr. Bill Jackson, who had the car restored and showed it at Pebble Beach in 1973. Some poster on the forum said it was " neglected, and soon after Bill bought the car, he gave it a quick Earl Scheib ($100) paint job in Dutch orange. At least it was always easy to spot!"
I was wondering if anyone knows if John Bond Jr. sold it for a bargain price as I keep track of old car prices (not what they are worth today). If it was neglected, maybe it was dirt cheap...
The father, John Bond, sold Road & Track in 1971 to CBS.
