Porsche mystery car
I am guessing this is the 530. Was one built as a running car?
Why was it rejected? I wonder if it had a shorter wheelbase than the existing Porsche at the time. If it was shorter, I predict it was a couple hundred pounds lighter even if it had a steel body. What size was the engine? It's odd that it is not pictured in most of the 356 books I have. |

It looks kind of like a 356. Could the wheelbase be even longer? It was labeled Porsche 530 and I think it dates to 1952. Not to be confused with the two cars Porsche built for Studebaker. Is there anywhere on the net a front 3/4 and rear 2/4 shot? |
