356 62 b model outlaw make

Hi.
I have a bad 356 missing all the original bits and pieces and are therefor going the outlaw route. I would like it to be a A front. Anybody with that experience that can give me some insight what to consider?

Br,
Roar

will not be easy, squared off front on your 62 vs round nose on the A, tank filler, tank itself, wider cowl, and the complete trunk, everything is different. Cut it off at the A pillars and start being creative from there. $$$$.

Also, your t6 has the big back window. Will you try to convert the back of the car to a small window?

I'm all for seeing an outlaw on the road. Talk to Trevor's Hammerworks, they can probably set you up with everything you need body panel wise.

Good Luck!

I had the same deal, a real beat up and rusty 356B T6. I welded on a new two piece front and drivers side front wing. I fitted it up with 911 lights and filled and smoothed out all the protrusions, the indicators are in the headlights and there are small chrome nerf bars. I did fancy fitting an early VW split rear window but my buddy said naah and so did just about everybody else so it's staying stock size. I can't send any pics cos it's being sprayed as I speak and I won't get it back until mid next week.

i bet that looked good, but did you modify it from the squared off trunk lid to the narrow? That is some serious fabrication. other than the mounting tab, the 911 light is the same size as 356.

sounds interesting, look forward to seeing pics of this!

I have an A outlaw with some odd 911ish modifications. The nose was cut and rolled to accept what looks like an early 911 front spoiler. The rear fenders were flared, the lower rear 1/4s were cut, to accept cut-down 911 bumpers, the rear center was modified for the 911 tag panel, and 911 taillight housing were hand made.

The work was done sometime around 65 - 67 in by the owner of a restoration shop Italy from what I understand. Supposedly he had worked for Porsche AG, retired and moved to Italy, and thought he'd build his own version of a 911.

Hope to get started on the restoration midyear.. luckily it doesn't need anything structural, and yes.. it will be restored back to its outlaw form.

New sheet metal for the front end has got to be at least $10k. You'd be better off finding the missing bits.
