64/65 356 engine
I have a 64/65 356 engine complete with exhaust. Looks like its been rebuilt . Great condition. Was going to put it on eBay. I'm near LAX. Open to offers.

Unfortunately the previous his owner wanted to stamp his own numbers so there are non. Just smooth metal in those areas. My friends at Engine Machine Service say it's a 64/65 but not sure of model. Zenith carbs .im more into the 911's.

is it a 616/15 case? That number is stamped on right case half on the boss under the generator. Pics? Zenith were used from 1957 to 1965 (on 1600, 1600S and C engines). Large oil filler?
Is just the engine number missing or did he file off everything? Are the 3 digit 'case numbers' still there?' I am interested in a 'real' C |

Again , no numbers except the ones that show all 3 cases match. I'll post some pics Tommorow .

If there are no build or type #'s on the case bosses, and no engine serial, but just the mating numbers then I would assume it is a replacement case. In that event you need to show us what everything looks like to help determine what might be in the case.
When was it last running? When was it last rebuilt? Really, without a complete disassemble there is no way of knowing what is in there.

Well, you could check the venturis in the carbs and see if they are normal or super spec, and you could pull off the front of the engine and see if the cam is normal or super. The super cam has a small rounded triangle with an "S" inside on the flange. Pretty much a crap shoot without taking it all apart.
