Is this a 356 headlight assembly?

Sorry, 356 newbie and this was in a big box of parts.

Glass is embossed with Hella.

I am not being very good at the Internet today-it's the one in the bottom that I'm actually asking about, sorry folks.

I believe the top one is a custom VW one.

top one is a Rossi, aftermarket for VW

bottom one would fit a 356 but also an early but. Is the logo on the glass you posted for the bottom one? Early VW had their own glass.

Thanks for the information.

The bottom one says Hella and 180-E25-5-SB2 and 180-E25-51-SB2

The distinction between Porsche and VW is the location of the lateral and vertical adjusting screws. Porsche adjusting screws are on either side of the bottom brim. VW has one on the bottom and the other at the diagonally opposite upper side. Looks like yours is from a Porsche.

That depends on the year of the headlights. Porsche used both. Porsche, however, never used lenses with a VW logo.
