Porsche 911 2.4t mfi high idle

Hi , I have a Porsche 2.4t mfi . 1972 , it starts well and idle is at 1000 rpm but when warmed up The idle goes up to 1500 rpm on its own , any idea what might be going on , thank you .

Also, do you have the mfi thermostat heater hose connected?

Check that the vacuum retard on the distributor is working.

One last thing, if you have not looked at CMA and gone over that at least 50 times, best to start there.

High idle

Thanks for all the help , on inspection of the advance and retard, all fine and working , but checking the small rubber hose from the carb to the distributor I found a T piece connector and a small amount of hose coming off it going nowhere, removed the T piece and joined up the pipe , all working well and idle is at 1000 rpm ,

T is to connect left & right vacuum sources then to distributor

Ahh , thanks fir the help , I will connect back up to left side mfi stack , it must have just simply come off causing high idle ,
