Wear Limit for Sachs Clutch

I have my engine out right now and have the older Sachs disk before they changed the design, part# 186175 9035
It still looks great but wondering if anyone knows the wear limit of when/if I should replace it.
Appreciate the help!

If you're asking about your '84, and by "older design" you mean it's a rubber-centered clutch, it's trash right now, but just happens to still be working. Replace before it falls apart without warning when you're driving.

The later clutch is lighter anyway - and especially so if you select lightweight parts - which means considerably less rotating mass...

seafood,

The Porsche spec book shows a new 915 disk at 8.1 +/- 0.3mm with a wear limit of 6.3mm.
