Gluing sunroof coupe headliner - confirmation question

Headliner is all clipped into place. With kids and travel, it's a project that has been spread over far too long a period. So, I just had a couple quick clarifying questions.

When gluing around the rear quarter windows, the headliner doesn't actually wrap around and get glued on the outside edge, but rather the inside edge and trimmed up tight (so you don't see any headliner around the top leading edge of the quarter window from the outside)?

When gluing the front area, this is where I didn't get good pictures -
  • The inside "corners" where the visor base is, that area gets glue?
  • Does the inside of the "lip" also get glue, or just the outside "edge" like the back window?
  • Any other not so obvious parts that get glued on the front?

Thanks!!
Todd

(what looks like wrinkles across the top rear is just reflections from the pad below)

I did mine with out clips. Mask and spray a tac line on the roof. Sprayed the head liner and then fitted and pulled tight. I used the 3m high temp in a can. Great stuff. All mine is glued and cut around and under the screen seals.
I'm an amature but happy with the outcome.

Personally, I would use many more lips. Glue goes on the outside of all openings-windows, doors, sunroof, and back side of courtesy light cavities.

My personal opinion on the glue....

Good Luck,
Johan

I used glue that comes in a tube, from our sponsor. Great stuff. It's yellow, I think. I used a small paint brush to apply. Harbor Freight has bags of them.

For every window opening, the headliner wraps around the seam and the glue goes on the outside, as said above. The hardest spots are the A and B pillars.

I did my best to remove the old headliner in one piece and used it as a template, particularly for finding the screw locations for things like the coat hooks, visors, etc.
