I guess the market decided otherwise. That said, just from the pics, I'd say somebody got a great price on a car...

It's hard to say this, but 13,600 for a nice 81 SC is about today's market value. A lot of car for the money if there are no problems with it...

That is scary! I am re-doing my 81 SC right now and thought for sure someone could get at least $16K for a mint 81 SC and this one looks flawless. They only thing I saw that bothered me was the dash cover, yet otherwise someone I think got a swell deal.

The color isn't the most popular.

Sadly, high mileage Carrera 3.2 coupes can now be bought in the mid to high teens, which naturally pushes the SC down a bit by comparison..:-(

I would say that 17K is all the money for a late SC coupe now.. that's down almost 20% in about a year.

I don't know, my assumption would be (with everything "rebuilt" the way it is) is the cars been totalled, and re-done.
If you look at the rear fender flares they don't look stock. They stick out too far at the top.

Just my two cents (CDN)

144K. SoCal. Sorry, $13K is about right. Rebuilt is nice, but you don't get money you put into the car back out. Odds are without the rebuild (but looking as clean) it would have sold for just a few $K less. Plus it isn't a popular color combination.

The only cars that fetch more money are low miles examples.
