"It's not light or loud enough yet"
Hi Eric,
I just thought I would send you a pic of a new exhasut I made this weekend. It is for my SC and bolts up to a set of SSI's. Boy oh boy is it nice and loud. Not too loud that I will get arrested but it sure sounds good when the loud pedal is down.... I still need to do a little metal finishing to smooth out the welds before I get it coated but I had to throw it on and drive around.:D SmileWavy http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads/DSC00720a.jpg |
Slider.. looks great!! Did you design that silencer too? what do the baffles look like inside?
Jorge (Targa Dude) |
The silencer is from a company called SpinTech. They make high performance street and racing mufflers. The outlaw and winston cup guys use them also.

I'm ignorant about pipe design so this isn't criticism, just curiousity.
Does the inequal input length matter? |
THERE YA GO!!!!!!!!!!
Thats the ticket!!
I love them light, loud! and nasty!!! Is it pretty free flowing set up.. any baffles in there? I wish I could hear it!! how much did it cost ya to fab it up?? GREAT JOB!! .. I love to hear about people who likem like I do!!!! Later, Eric SmileWavy |
Dude,
It looks super light what kind of weight savings are we talking here!? i like it.. |
BlueSky, according to some very talented exhaust fabricaters that I have talked to, the unequal length is not very important after the headers and collectors. So I trusted thier judgment and there isn't much room anyways.
Eric, So far I have about $200 bucks in it and once I smooth the welds on the inlet tubes I am going to have it JetHot coated. I have a stock muffler at home so I will weigh the difference this weekend and let you know. It is lighter..... If I can figure out how to get a sound file from my camera to my PC I will send you one. It sounds great, medium at idle and then it howls like the old days under full throttle!!!!!:D |
