More 911's in EVO magazine
The latest copy of Evo has just come out here in the UK. The front cover makes great reading...'We drive the new 205mph Lamborghini... and the 213mph Ruf 911 that leaves it for dead!'
The article is about German Porsche tuner/ manufacturer Ruf and their latest 'weapon' the Turbo R. The car is amazing, even if the looks are quite subtle. Ruf has a great history at the Nurburgring, some may remember the 993 based Yellowbird of the early 1990's, it seems they want to tackle the worlds most challenging circuit again. The record at the Nurburgring is currently held by other Porsche tuner, Gembella (who are also featured in this mag), but don't rule out Ruf yet. I don't have the facility to scan the article and post it but a fellow Pelican Head may do... so enjoy |

Actually, Yellowbird is based on a late 80s Carrera with a 962-based engine.
