Rear quarter glass seal issue

76 911 S pop out rear quarter seal.....Yes guys I have searched ....Google ....youtube it before asking . The outside seal around the glass trim is kicking my butt . I have the passenger side on but it doesn't want to close without rolling the seal .

The main issue though is the drivers side will seat all the way around the Oval part of the window but can't get the flat part to go into the window frame .... it will start then pop back to its like it's a 1/4 in to long . Yes OEM seal and the second seal .... are you starting from the flat working back or starting from the Oval moving to the flat as all are recommending .

Any tips are greatly appreciated. ..... this build is building character or will kill me not sure which at this moment haha..

When installing the seal I started on the flat forward edge and worked around to the oval end, I had a little issue where it went over the hinge.
After I had the seal on the window I sprayed it with some soapy water to close it.
