Hot air blowing in front floor area
Just acquired a 1979 911sc. The car has SSI's. I am trying to prevent the hot air coming into the foot area. All ventilation levers are adjusted for just fresh air. I have attached a picture of where the hot air is coming from (there is one of these on the driver and passenger side).
![]() Can I cover this (duct tape?) to prevent hot air blowing into the cab? Is there another way to prevent this hot air coming through? |

Maybe the cable(s) to the heater boxes are broken and/or the boxes are stuck shut. The heater boxes either vent the hot air out or direct it to the cabin.They are located between the heat exchangers and the inlets in the inner rear wheel wells. See below for some details
