Sure it's an American company, but if TV show hosts want to get nationalistic then they can claim Dickenson as the mastermind to Singer (which he is).
Williams is the British Singer. More to come..

Most of the vid is about the Singer engine. Just for fun.

I think the title of this post should have been “Theon Design is the British Singer, or is it much less?”

As much as I like the Singer cars, and they're beautiful in person - there are a few in Miami - lately I'm a little tired of the hype, and the copycats. If someone put a gun to might head and asked me which restomod I wanted, I'd pick the Lightspeed stuff.

That said, I much prefer reading the stories and builds of the hardcore DIYers here. Maybe it's just because I can't afford a Singer, but I love seeing the people on here who are just normal folk makin' it happen.

Saw my first Singer recently here in Dallas at the Mavs and Mochas event near my house. Every millimeter of that car was worth looking at. The attention to detail can't be exaggerated! I'll never be able to afford one but it's great just knowing they exist....and I got to see one! Now I'm going back to work on the AC in my 200k miles Carrera...and maybe go buy a lottery ticket...

That new Singer for Goodwood is above and beyond any other 911 based car I've ever seen. There isn't a single part that hasn't been improved or changed to suit that car. I bet the man hours spent on designing and building this car and its parts would make your head spin. Remember, the motor is putting out 500 aircooled hp. Absolutely no expense spared. $1.8M starting price with 75 being built.

Well....Probably the 959 is a contender in some respects. Just saying. Not arguing.

I don't have a problem with the Theon Design save the equal/better than Singer statements in the vid. I think it's like a Singer, just built in a practical manner.

Not talking the Goodwood Singer wrt the last paragraph, the proletariat Singer.

R would be more appropriate than RS. It’s a lightweight study. They haven’t released the weight yet but have said they will sell and build 75 of them.

There are other builders in Europe - Germany and UK - producing beautifully done cars, some less off-the-wall and closer to the original, and without the senseless jewelry and quilted leather engine panels - my preference.

Singer has done such a fantastic job with bumpers, both first gen Singer and this car, but the flares on both cars leave a lot to be desired. Big fat Carrera flares just don't work IMHO.

I think the flares are a miss. Maybe I'm not used to them? They seem too flat. - Edit, I think it's that bottom paint transition from the runner to the back flare. In white it's more pronounced. The green one did a better job of hiding that square edge. Still unreal car. If I could buy one super car...

Agree. The best view of this car is the arse. What they’ve done with a mesh panel below the deck lid showing the headers is spectacular. They’ve lost the plot on the fenders though. Too RWB not enough 934.
