New to AZ, looking for recommendations

I just relocated to Southern Arizona after three glorious years in Italy, and the Porker will be joining me in (hopefully) a few weeks. Now that I'm back in the states, I'm looking to start tackling some of the back-burner projects I've been putting off. With that in mind, I was hoping any of the Arizona pelicans out there could point me towards some local mechanics who're well regarded in our community. Also, as a born-and-bred Northeasterner, I'm a fish out of water down here in a quite literal sense. Any for driving on the surface of the sun, and general local knowledge, would be much appreciated!

It is going to be hard in Sierra Vista. It is a small town and a lot of turn over for people as I am sure you are aware of.

Up in Phoenix you will find the bigger shops, Patrick Motorsports, Turbo Kraft, I go to Don Jackson when ever I am in town. He really knows the old Porsche. Phx is 2.5hrs north though.

I would strongly recommend Radmacher's shop in Tucson - Dave is a long time Porsche mechanic and well known in the Southern Arizona Porsche community - look in the PCA Southern Arizona Region web site - don't be put off by the Yelp review . . .

Radmacher Porsche Service
604 E Blacklidge Dr
Tucson, Arizona
Call (520) 624-6642

Regards,

And, Welcome to Arizona

Becks, Stuttgart Southwest, & Patrick Motorsports have all done tremendous work on my various Porsches over the years. I've heard great things about Zuffenhousen but have not tried them yet. Plenty of other great independent shops in town too plus authorized dealers in Scottsdale & Chandler.

You should also come to Scottsdale Motorsports Gathering (aka Cars & Coffee) the first Saturday of the month. Info at Scuderia Southwest website https://www.scuderiasouthwest.com/smg/

And consider going the local chapter of Porsche Club of America az.pca.org
