1982 Porsche 911 WUR
I need a WUR for my 1982 911 SC. Will 0438140149 work? The # I have now is 0438140090.

Have the 090 rebuilt/referb, if you have tested and confirmed its bad, so you have a match for your engine. Is the 149 for a Mercedes?

Not sure if this is helpful but I’ll cast another vote for getting your 090 rebuilt if possible.
My ‘81 SC had an incorrect (072) WUR installed when I got the car. It ran pretty well but fuel consumption was off, wrong warm control pressure, etc. I spent a fair bit of time straightening out the CIS over the years (lots of things wrong and misadjusted/disconnected, vacuum leaks). The last piece was a correct 090 WUR that I managed to pick up from a forum member. Once installed, the ran so much smoother and fuel consumption increased a couple of MPG’s. Definitely worth getting it right.

Are you looking for one of these?
![]() I could lend you one that you could use and test in your car. You are not obligated to buy it. Send if back to me if you don’t want it after the test. PM me if you are interested. Thanks. Tony |

I had read somewhere in the forum that you rebuild WURs. Judging from the photograph it appears that you do. I have a 75 911S that I bought in 1977. Runs OK for its age, but not like it should. I suspect that the WUR is not working correctly. Everything else checks out. Do you, in fact, refurbish WURs?
