Fueling system requirements for 48 Weber’s in my G body

They say do it right, do it once, soooo

I’m looking to put a new fuel storage and supply system in my ‘75S - converting it to a twin 48 Carb set up.

I need to buy a new fuel tank, as the old one is rough and was thinking that I would upgrade the lines at the same time.

The car that is donating the engine, currently uses a fuel cell, with some sort of surge tank between twin external electric fuel pumps. I need to check around for a fuel pressure regulator / gauge.

Question is, for a road car, what do I need?

Can I use a similar two pump setting with a stock fuel tank? Do I need dual fuel pumps and surge tank on a road car where only occasional spirited / AutoX type driving is ever likely to happen? The 48s seem to be somewhat thirsty (currently making about 280bhp) through a 2.8 high-ish compression engine (I know - higher compression and road car...).

Thanks for any insight. I’m still very much learning all this stuff. Ref the above engine choice if you don’t believe me!

Flame suit on...
