Anyone using Falkens

Hi all - I'm probably going to go with the Conti Extreeeeeeeeeeme contact (someone needs to call their marketing department).

BUUT... I put some Falken Wildpeaks on my truck, and I quite like them, and stuck some Falken Azenis on my wife's GTI, which I never drive, but seems fine as well, and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with these on their cars. Can't really beat the price, and at least in some other product lines, the Falkens seem to measure up well with pricier choices.

I pretty much never drive my car in the rain, and this being Florida, curves or hard driving is more of a fond dream than any sort of reality. Looking for a reasonably good sporty option for a decent price.

Open to other suggestions, but the Extreme also seems like a fairly good option at the price.

I've got a set of Falkens on my 1980 SC. I'm using 205-55-16 fronts and 245-45-16 rears. Don't remember the model name. I've had these and another set before for several years. They seem to stick quite well and are not expensive. The only problems I've had are a slow leak on one rear tire and if you have a flat and roll more than about 2 feet it will ruin the sidewall.

We started using Falkens on our Ultra4 unlimited class desert racer about 3 years ago and have found them to stand up to sidewall abuse much better than the BF Goodrich tires we previously used. We were going through about a dozen tires a season and now it's only about one or two. We've put them on our pickups and daily drivers also with good results. When my 964 gets back on the road after its engine overhaul, I'm going to try a set on it.

I've really enjoyed having the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 2 tires - also at a great price point. Never owned, but heard good things about Falken tires as well.

Thanks all - as I've mentioned, I've had good luck with them on the Truck and the GTI - so I was just looking for confirmation. I'm sure there are better tires out there. But at 333 for a set of 4 - I think it's a good place to start.

Had a pair of FK452s on my SC 205/55-16, 225/50-16. They were good at speed and in the rain. My main problem/complaint with them was that they locked up under hard braking way too fast for me.
