Installing Rear Seat Belts

The previous owner of my '74 left the rear seat belts out when he restored the car, but I just bought new ones to install. The mounting points appear to be there.

Dumb question. How do I install these? Do I need the bolts that I purchased if the points in the pics have a bolt already?

Yes you need bolts, special thread. The "bolts" you see, are more "place keepers" for the actual seat belt bolts

Not only bolts, but spacers too. And, and, and....

Here is the setup for SC automatic belts from the PET. Hopefully the hardware came with the belts!

Here's the bolts that came with it from parts klassik.

The belt.

I'm a little confused as to the hole alignment. One side of the belt "tongue" has a hole, the other does not. Do you push out the brass plate and attach, then slide the plastic back over the plate, or.....?

Push the brass plate in further until the hole in the brass plate aligns with the hole in the plastic cover. Both sides are the same that way.

Understood, but the other side of that plastic end does not have a hole. The pic I showed indeed shows the hole, but the flip side does not. So is the "non hole" side face up when installed?

I can't imagine how that could work. How would you tighten the bolt?

Maybe another picture would help my small brain....

Yeah, that doesn't help me at all. I don't see how that could possibly work.

Have you talked to your parts supplier?

Wait, as I look at the edge around the curved part, it looks thicker. Is it possible that the plastic cover opens so you could tighten the bolt head?
