what year, motor... has the 36mm intake gasket
I am chasing problems on the race car
decided to pull the carbs and manifolds. this motor is a combo of different parts and the heads are worked over the gasket between the head and manifold measure as 36mm what year and type (T/E/S) of head uses the 36mm intake gasket? thanks in advance! brant

just to clarify...
this is the gasket between the head and intake manifold and the ones I took off have the injector notch in the gasket... even though I run carbs and the heads are not drilled for injectors. I'm guess it might be the gasket for the 1970 ? (due to the injector notch) Pelican does not list the ID on that year gasket so I haven't been able to verify. brant

The S models had a 36mm intake manifold gasket.
The Ts and Es had 32mm intake ports.

Help.....
I still need to know what year and model had the 36mm pelican salesman can only find me a 37mm, and they don't have the ability to find it unless I have a part number. can anyone confirm that the 1970 2.2 "S" is the correct one and would measure 36mm? I need to order 18 of these asap for a race...... 2 days so far trying to find this part number and getting nervous brant

Buy the smaller ones, set them on the head and carve them out with a sharp knife.

I've done that ^. A PIA IMO.
Yes, 2,2 S had 36mm intake ports.
