It was an option. My car does not have one - it's a '75 California car bought from Vasek Polack. Amazing they did not add them, especially from that dealership. The original owner spent the money on Koni suspension, dealer-installed AC, Fuchs and the like. Go figure.

id be really curious to know if you have the mounting points and studs for the hardware. for the trombone upfront and oil lines out back

Both of my '74s did...and neither came equipped with lines or a cooler. Like his, mine had S gauges, fuchs and Koni shocks...but only the lower horsepower, non "S" engine.

My '77 was ordered with factory A/C (now removed), and had the front Trombone cooler (replaced with a 28-tube brass cooler).

Im not sure where he said that !!
Just stated “ no cooler” from what i read

Can anyone confirm in an official statements from Porsche that the 28 tube cooler was able to decrease temp. by 30% over the trombone cooler as is stated in the Pelican article? I've looked through Anderson and Frere and other books and articles but have never heard this statement.

I installed the 28 tube, purchased from a gentleman in Switzerland, and love the Jules Verne nature of the thing. It surely radiates heat just feel the fender on the right versus the left.
