19mm Rear sway round clear bushing install tips?
Tried lubing the clear bushing up and using a C clamp but seemed like I was deforming/smashing the bushing. Any advice on this step of the instal?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1534226823.jpg

Used a pair of channel lock pliers to get the bushing into the drop link, C clamp to install onto the ball.

Here's how I do it.
Use a vise to press the grommet into the link. (help the edges with a screwdriver) Do a false install and align the grommet to the ball in the swing arm. Prop up the sway bar to the height of the ball. Cut a broom/mop handle to somewhere around 13 inches. Align the broom handle with the grommet and give it a few good whacks with a 3 pound hammer. If it's the first time install for the grommet - it's going to take some extra effort, but it will go in. Bill K |
Sure appreciate the tips. Going to weld on the brackets this AM.

Not unlike installing the support bushing at the front end of the shift tube.
Clamp the drop link in a bench vise, then use large “Channel Lock” pliers to squeeze it into place. Heating it in hot water should also make it more pliable. Sherwood |
