Distributor removal question

I’m removing dizzy to fix a leaking oil line.
Ready to pull it but not sure how to handle the clip shown the figure.

Can I just leave it alone and pry out the dizzy?
Or do I need to remove the clip and or disconnect the wire.

Totally stock ‘78 SC

Pull the distributor after you set the crank at TDC for #1 cylinder and mark where the rotor points. Then carefully take the screw loose and rotate the clip downward and pull the plug out. Don't twist the wire or it could split, because it's old.

Thanks I guess there is a screw back there holding this clip on. No mention of same in Wayne’s book or in Bentley. have Z1 on pully lined to mark on fan housing. Rotor cap pointed to line in dizzy. Thanks for the tip!

Looked at Bentley again, which says “disconnect distributor wiring harness”. I must admit John Walkers workshop provides much better directions than Bentley here
